Tragedy struck Oklahoma City on Thursday morning when two 18-month-old twins, Locklyn and Loreli Callazzo, drowned in their backyard swimming pool.

Firefighters had just arrived at the home in the Cobblestone neighborhood when their mother, Jenny, had already pulled them from the water and was administering CPR.

First responders immediately took over and transported the children to Baptist Hospital. Even with their efforts, the twins were later pronounced dead.

Jenny, a mother who operates a bow boutique from home, resides on the property with her grandmother, husband Sonny (age 42, a marketing executive), and their six children.

According to The Daily Mail, a family member has claimed that the grandmother, who is afflicted with Alzheimer’s, had opened the back door of the residence, providing the twins with access to the pool.

Mike Bernard, a neighbor, mentioned seeing the mother in an EMS vehicle in distress. He also said the first responders brought out the two children and put them in separate ambulances while performing CPR.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help raise money for the Callazzo family. It simply states, “These beautiful babies were taken from us too soon.”

The Oklahoma City Police are investigating the incident and stated that it does not appear to be criminal at this time.
