Sherwood, Arkansas – A man has been arrested after allegedly hiding under clothes in a woman’s car in an apparent attempt to take her child, according to authorities. The incident occurred at a Walmart on Highway 107 when 911 callers reported a man inside a woman’s vehicle. Police arrived at the scene and found the victim and her young child, who stated that she had noticed an unknown man hiding under some clothing in her car after placing her child inside.

The woman immediately began yelling at the man to get out and reached for her daughter. After a brief struggle, she managed to retrieve her child from the vehicle. Witnesses at the scene prevented the man from escaping until officers arrived.

The suspect, identified as 58-year-old Timothy Earl Caudle, is now facing charges of breaking and entering, false imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a minor, assault in the third degree, public intoxication, and obstructing government operations. Caudle initially provided false information about his identity.

Caudle pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held on a $35,000 bond at a Pulaski County jail. A hearing for the defendant is scheduled for March 26. Authorities have stated that the incident is still under investigation, and additional charges may be filed.
