Madison, Wisconsin – Three adults from South Dakota were apprehended in Wisconsin on Sunday following the abduction of an 11-year-old girl from Indiana. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest of Zachary Delozier, 27, Sara Gaudino, 23, and Isaiah Schryvers, 24, who are now facing charges of kidnapping a minor. The three suspects were wanted on warrants issued by the Wells County Sheriff’s Office in northeastern Indiana.

Late on Saturday, a “silver alert” was issued by Wells County for the missing girl, who had last been seen in Zanesville, a small town southwest of Fort Wayne. A local search party was organized, with numerous agencies collaborating and utilizing drones and helicopters, but the search was called off after seven hours when it was determined that the girl was no longer in Zanesville.

Authorities were then alerted to the sighting of the suspect vehicle, a white Dodge Caravan, at a gas station in Barneveld, Wisconsin. Law enforcement responded by initiating a traffic stop in nearby Dodgeville along U.S. Highway 151, where the child was safely removed from the vehicle.

Details regarding the motive behind the abduction remain unknown, and it is unclear where the defendants intended to take the young girl. Additionally, the nature of the relationship between the alleged abductors and the victim has not been established, as their surnames do not match.

Michael Peterson, the Iowa County Sheriff, expressed his gratitude to the law enforcement agencies involved, describing the swift action as a testament to their professionalism. Further information about the incident will be provided as the investigation unfolds.

The safety of the abducted child has been ensured, and she will soon be reunited with her family.
