3-Year-Old Girl Fatally Mauled by Dogs in Home

A tragic incident unfolded in Cincinnati, Ohio, when a 3-year-old girl was fatally mauled by large dogs in her home, two days after Christmas. The victim, Kingsley Wright, was discovered by her father, who had been asleep on the couch at the time of the attack on December 27, as reported by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The father, in a state of shock, called 911, expressing his disbelief at the horrific scene. He stated that he had woken up to find his daughter lifeless and blood everywhere, unable to comprehend what had transpired. He further mentioned that his dogs were caged while he was napping, raising questions about how the attack occurred.

Kingsley’s mother, Gina Smith, was devastated and furious about the incident. She questioned why her daughter was left alone with such large dogs, which weighed over 100 pounds each. Smith’s boyfriend, Josh Justice, also expressed his confusion and distress, wondering how the dogs could have attacked the child if they were supposedly locked in cages.

The breeds of the dogs involved in the attack have not been disclosed. Following the incident, the dogs were seized by animal control and are currently under a state-mandated ten-day quarantine at Cincinnati Animal CARE.

Smith is seeking answers about the circumstances that led to her daughter’s tragic death. She is struggling to understand how the dogs could have mauled Kingsley if they were indeed locked in their cages as claimed by the father.

Local authorities, including the Cincinnati police, are investigating the circumstances surrounding Kingsley’s death. Meanwhile, an obituary for the young girl remembers her as a bright child who loved to sing and dance, and who always saw the positive side of everything around her.
