San Antonio, Texas – On Wednesday evening, May 8, a shooting in San Antonio, Texas left three children and two adults in critical condition. The incident occurred at a residence on the 6700 block of Windsor Hollow Dr.

County Sheriff Javier Salazar addressed the media during a press conference, stating that law enforcement received a shooting alert around 7:40 pm local time. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found five victims with gunshot wounds, including three children under the age of 10. The youngest victim is a 4-year-old girl, while the adults are in their 20s to 30s.

All five victims were transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center and are currently in serious condition. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident and following leads.

According to Sheriff Salazar, two suspects drove to the residence in a gray car, exited the vehicle on foot, and started shooting into the house with long rifles. Approximately 20 to 25 shots were fired, and it is believed the suspects targeted the residence intentionally. Sheriff Salazar expressed concern that the suspects knew there were children inside and warned that the charges could be upgraded to capital murder if any of the children do not survive.

While no motive has been established yet, authorities believe the shooting was not random and that the victims may have known their attackers. The Sheriff’s Office reassured the public that this was a targeted event and that there is no immediate danger to the community.

Law enforcement continues to investigate the incident to identify and apprehend the two suspects.
