US Green Card Holder Stages Terror Attack in Tel Aviv, Four Injured

A 29-year-old Moroccan national, who was a permanent resident of the United States, carried out a terror attack in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Tuesday, leaving four people injured before he was fatally shot, according to Israeli officials. The attacker, identified as Abdelaziz Kaddi, targeted four men ranging in age from 24 to 59.

Kaddi had entered Israel on a tourist visa on January 18. The attack took place in the Nahalat Binyamin neighborhood of Tel Aviv on Tuesday evening. Eyewitnesses reported that Kaddi was neutralized by an armed civilian.

Haim Sargaroff, Tel Aviv District Commander, informed the media that Kaddi seemed to have acted independently, with no evidence suggesting the involvement of another terrorist in the incident. The Israeli ambulance service, Magen David Adom, reported that two of the victims, aged 24 and 28, were in moderate condition, while a 24-year-old and a 59-year-old were in good condition.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident and tracing Kaddi’s movements since his arrival in Israel. The incident is being treated as a terror attack.

This is not the first time Israel has experienced such an attack. There have been regular occurrences since a terrorist attack on October 7. In one incident last October, six people were injured when an Arab Israeli riding a moped went on a stabbing spree in the city of Hadera.

The attacker in that incident also targeted bystanders at multiple locations before being shot by armed civilians. Smaller scale attacks have also been reported, including an incident on Saturday where a 19-year-old Palestinian man illegally entered Israel through the West Bank and stabbed a 30-year-old in Tel Aviv.
