The sudden demise of a young and dynamic television anchor has left the Arizona broadcasting community in a state of shock and grief. Ana Orsini, a 28-year-old anchor for Tucson’s CBS affiliate, KOLD News 13, tragically passed away last week due to a brain aneurysm.
Orsini, originally from Denver, was a beloved member of the KOLD News 13 team. She was the host of the station’s flagship morning show and was highly regarded by her colleagues. Her sudden death has led to an outpouring of heartfelt tributes from her coworkers.
Cory Kowitz, a co-anchor at the station, took to social media to express his grief. He described Orsini as more than just an anchor; she was a leader and a cherished friend to many at the station. Kowitz recalled his time working with Orsini on the morning show and expressed his deep sorrow at her untimely passing.
Tyler Butler, another anchor at KOLD News 13, also paid tribute to Orsini. He emphasized her vibrant personality, which shone both on and off the camera. Carsyn Currier, a co-anchor, remembered Orsini as a unique individual who was not only beautiful, talented, and hilarious, but also someone who made everyone around her feel special, heard, and understood. Currier shared that working with Orsini made the challenging early morning shifts much easier.
Orsini joined KOLD News 13 in June of the previous year. She began her broadcasting career in Lubbock, Texas, after graduating from Texas A&M University in 2018. Before her time in Tucson, Orsini worked at KDRV NewsWatch 12 in Medford, Oregon.
The news of Orsini’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her colleagues and viewers alike. The station is still awaiting a statement from Orsini’s family regarding her sudden passing.
