New York, NY – An elderly Brooklyn couple was tragically found dead in their Borough Park home over the weekend, allegedly stabbed to death by their own son. The disturbing incident has left the community in shock and mourning.
Jacob and Rachel Sperber, both 75 years old had their lives cut short when they were brutally attacked in their own residence around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday.
Law enforcement sources have confirmed that their 46-year-old son, whose identity has not been disclosed, is currently in police custody as a person of interest. However, he has not yet been formally charged.
According to a neighbor, the couple provided for their troubled son despite his mental illness, going above and beyond for his care.
