MIAMI, FL – Chaos erupted at Miami International Airport on Saturday night when a woman was violently stabbed and nearly thrown over a railing in the airport’s lobby. The disturbing incident took place around 11:30 p.m. in the international greeters lobby, leaving the woman in critical condition. According to reports, the attack was unprovoked.
Airport officials released a statement assuring the public that the situation was swiftly contained and the safety of passengers, staff, and visitors remained a top priority. Authorities responded immediately to the incident and managed to apprehend a male suspect allegedly responsible for the attack. A knife was recovered nearby.
During the assault, the assailant reportedly attempted to throw the woman over a fourth-floor railing, which overlooked Concourse J. However, she managed to escape and took refuge on the third floor until first responders arrived. Bystanders at the scene provided assistance to the injured woman until emergency medical services (EMS) arrived.
