KEEGO HARBOR, Michigan – Authorities in Keego Harbor, Michigan are searching for a couple who left a restaurant without paying their bill and injured a waitress in the process. The incident occurred on the evening of February 16 at El Camino Restaurant on Orchard Lake Road.

According to police reports, the couple, described as a white male and female in their mid-to-late 50s, dined at the restaurant and left without paying the total bill due to a dispute over the service and food. As they attempted to leave, the server chased after them to demand payment for the outstanding amount.

The couple allegedly laughed at the server and reversed their vehicle to avoid her. However, the server positioned herself in front of the car, causing the driver to strike her and run over her legs before fleeing the scene. The suspects were driving a 2005-2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class with later generation wheels.

The server was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover from her injuries. Police are actively seeking the couple and have asked anyone with information on their identity to contact the Keego Harbor Police Department.

In recent developments, video footage has surfaced showing a similar vehicle traveling with its headlights turned off on Cass Lake Road shortly after the incident. Authorities believe this new information will help them identify a person of interest, but no further details have been released.

The search for the couple continues, and anyone with information is urged to come forward to assist with the investigation.
