San Antonio, Texas – A father and son have been arrested and charged in connection with the killing of a pregnant teenager and her boyfriend last month. The bodies of 18-year-old Savanah Nicole Soto and her 22-year-old boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, were found in a car in the parking lot of an apartment complex. According to San Antonio police, their deaths are believed to be the result of a drug deal gone wrong.

Christopher Preciado, 19, has been charged with capital murder, while his father, 53-year-old Ramon Preciado, faces charges of abuse of a corpse for allegedly helping move the bodies. The police have confirmed that more charges may be pending, potentially related to the death of the unborn child.

Soto’s family became concerned when she missed an appointment for a scheduled induced labor, prompting them to file a missing persons report. Authorities believe the couple was killed on December 21, five days prior to the discovery of their bodies. Both victims died from gunshot wounds to the head, according to the Bexar County medical examiner.

The investigation was aided by information found on Soto’s cellphone, which led the police to identify a vehicle seen in surveillance footage near the crime scene. This information eventually led them to the residence where they found the father and son. Ramon Preciado was cooperative with the investigation.

While the case has generated a significant amount of interest and speculation, authorities have stated that the father and son are the only suspects being sought. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the deaths as homicides.

The arrest of the father and son in connection with the killings of Soto and Guerra brings some closure to their grieving families. This tragic event comes just 19 months after Soto’s 15-year-old brother was shot and killed in what was described as a dispute over money.

Investigations into the case are ongoing, and authorities are working to determine where the alleged murders took place before the couple’s bodies were moved to the apartment complex. The precise details of the drug deal that led to the fatal outcome have not yet been disclosed.

San Antonio police have yet to comment on whether the suspects have obtained legal representation.
