Christopher Wright, a 43-year-old man from Baltimore, was tragically beaten to death outside his home on Friday evening. His fiancée, Tracy Karopchinsky, said he died protecting her 14-year-old son from a fight that had started at Brooklyn Park Middle School and was brought to their home in Ann Arundel County. According to Tracy, three teens and two adults had shown up looking to fight her son, and Christopher stepped in to protect him.
The incident was caught on the victim’s and neighbor’s security cameras, and Tracy said the damage done to Christopher was too severe for the hospital to do anything. He was pronounced dead the next day from a traumatic brain injury.
The death of Christopher Wright is a tragedy that has devastated his family and friends. His fiancée, Tracy, said that not only did it ruin her life, but the lives of the people responsible and their families will be changed forever. School officials confirmed the fight between the teens and said they worked to address the issue. Police are now working with the school to investigate the incident and determine who was responsible.
Tracy shared that Christopher Wright was a devoted father who loved the stars and gardening. A GoFundMe page was set up to help with funeral costs. We must remember Christopher Wright and the tragedy of his death and use it as a reminder to do our best to protect our children and create a safe and supportive environment for them.
