A Georgia couple, William and Zachary Zulock, aged 34 and 36 respectively, have been sentenced to life imprisonment without parole for the horrific sexual abuse of their two adopted sons. The sentencing was announced last week by the Walton County District Attorney’s office.
District Attorney Randy McGinley described the Zulock’s home as a “house of horrors,” where the couple prioritized their perverse desires over the welfare of their children. Despite the depth of the couple’s depravity, McGinley praised the resolve of those who fought for justice and the strength of the victims, stating that their resilience over the past two years has been truly inspiring.
The victims, two brothers aged 12 and 10, were adopted from a Christian special-needs agency by the Zulocks. The couple raised the boys in an affluent suburb of Atlanta, presenting an image of a happy, normal family. Zachary was employed in the banking sector, while William worked for the government.
However, behind this facade, the couple was subjecting the boys to regular sexual abuse, filming the acts to produce pedophilic pornography. Evidence presented during the trial revealed that the couple even boasted about their actions to their acquaintances. One individual reported to the police that Zachary had sent a Snapchat message stating his intention to abuse his son, accompanied by images of the child being abused.
The couple also allegedly used social media to offer the boys to at least two other men, indicating the existence of a local pedophile ring. The Zulocks were arrested in 2022 after a member of this ring was apprehended for downloading child pornography. The individual informed investigators about the Zulocks’ involvement in producing pornographic material involving the boys living in their home.
Both William and Zachary Zulock pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and sexual exploitation of children.
