Iran-backed Yemenite terror group threatens to resume ballistic missile attacks if the fragile ceasefire in Gaza collapses.

The Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen vowed Sunday evening that they will resume their attacks on Israel in the event that the shaky ceasefire in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas collapses.
In a letter penned to Hamas leaders, Yousif al-Madani, the new chief of staff of the Ansar Allah terrorist organization – better known as the Houthis – affirmed the group’s alliance with Hamas, and pledged to resume hostilities against Israel should the truce in Gaza collapse.
“We stand by our covenant and our promise with you,” al-Madani wrote. “We share your joy in victory and console you in moments of loss. We affirm that we remain steadfast in our pledge to stand with you and by your side whatever the sacrifices, and that we are closely monitoring developments.”
“We declare that if the enemy resumes its aggression on Gaza, we will resume our military operations deep inside the Zionist entity, and we will reinstate the ban on Israeli navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas.”
The letter marks the first sign by al-Madani that he will uphold Ansar Allah’s strategic cooperation with Hamas against Israel.
Less than a month ago, al-Madani was appointed to replace Muhammad Abd al‑Karim al‑Ghamari, who died on October 16th from wounds sustained in an Israeli strike two months earlier.
Houthi terrorists have fired hundreds of ballistic missiles and suicide drone aircraft at Israel since the outbreak of the Gaza war following the October 7th, 2023 invasion of Israel.
The Houthis have also attacked foreign vessels, some of which were linked to Israel, traveling through the Red Sea.
While the Houthis had refrained from attacking Israel since the beginning of the Gaza truce last month, Ansar Allah launched a mass mobilization campaign last week and increased recruitment efforts among Houthi tribesmen, who form the core of Ansar Allah’s fighting force.
During last week’s mobilization, Ansar Allah leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi said that a new round of fighting with Israel was inevitable.
“We are certainly heading toward a round of confrontation with the Israeli enemy,” he said.
