Marshun Foxx, a 42-year-old man, is currently under arrest, facing charges for a series of grave crimes. The Memphis Police Department has charged Foxx with sexual assault, aggravated kidnapping, and using a blow torch to harm a victim. The victim, a woman, was reportedly held captive for three days.
The police were alerted to the situation when they received a complaint from a residential area on Townes Street. Upon their arrival, they met a woman who recounted her horrifying ordeal. She detailed how a man, known to her as “Levi”, approached her in a grey sedan on Jackson Avenue. Another man, armed with a firearm, emerged from the car and forced her into the vehicle.
The woman was then taken to a barbershop on Jackson Avenue. Levi departed from the scene, leaving her with the second man who dragged her to a shed behind the barbershop. In the shed, the woman was coerced into performing sexual acts. When she resisted further advances, she was subjected to physical violence and was burned on her back with a blow torch.
After enduring three days of captivity, the woman was finally released. While being escorted by the police to Rape Crisis, she spotted Foxx, identified him as her attacker, and he was subsequently arrested. The woman confirmed Foxx as the perpetrator through a single-shot identification process.
An anonymous source familiar with Foxx disclosed to local media that Foxx lived in the shed where the woman was allegedly held captive. The source also mentioned avoiding interactions with Foxx due to his aggressive behavior and noted that women were frequently seen entering the shed.
The investigation into the case is still ongoing. A community member expressed hope for justice, stating, “If he did wrong, he got to accept it.”
