New York City, NY – A tragic incident unfolded in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx on Sunday morning, as authorities discovered a couple and their five-year-old son brutally stabbed to death inside their apartment.
Law enforcement officials responded to a 911 call at 674 East 136th Street just after 6:30 a.m., where they encountered a 38-year-old man with stab wounds in the apartment building’s first-floor hallway. Upon further investigation, officers entered a nearby unit and found a child on the ground and a 33-year-old woman with fatal stab wounds.
First responders pronounced both the woman and child dead at the scene. As authorities conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of their deaths, an ongoing investigation aims to shed light on the horrifying tragedy.
According to neighbors the family had recently moved in and mostly kept to themselves.The names of the victims have not been disclosed, as police are working diligently to notify any relatives and ascertain their identities.
