San Antonio, Texas – Law enforcement authorities in Texas are actively searching for two individuals suspected of fatally shooting the manager of a Sonic fast-food restaurant. The motive for the murder appears to be a heated argument over the suspects’ order and money, according to officials.
The tragic incident took place on Sunday evening, as 33-year-old Daniel Shrewsbury was working at the Sonic location on Babcock Road. Authorities released three images of the suspects, which were captured by security footage inside the restaurant, in the hopes that the public can help identify them.
According to local news outlet KSAT, the altercation occurred around 9:40 p.m. in the drive-thru or parking lot area. Shrewsbury allegedly engaged in a verbal argument with one of the suspects, which swiftly escalated. Tragically, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot Shrewsbury at least once before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Despite his injuries, the manager managed to make his way back into the restaurant. Tragically, emergency medical personnel declared him dead upon arrival.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects or their whereabouts to come forward and assist in bringing justice for Daniel Shrewsbury.
