Louisville, Kentucky – Police officials in Louisville, Kentucky, are conducting an investigation into a mass shooting at a nightclub that took place early Saturday morning. The incident claimed the life of one man, while injuring seven others.

Authorities were notified of the shooting at approximately 12:47 a.m. Responding officers arrived at H20 lounge to find a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.

Following the initial discovery, another unidentified victim was rapidly transported to University Hospital with injuries that are believed to be critical and life-threatening, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).

As daylight emerged, investigators learned that six additional victims, who had sustained non-life threatening injuries, had independently taken themselves to nearby hospitals for treatment.
