Phoenix, AZ – Police in Arizona have confirmed that a missing woman is among two individuals who were found shot to death in a parking lot earlier this month. The bodies have been identified as 25-year-old Doris Aguilar and 51-year-old Juan Cuellar, with Aguilar being the victim of homicide.

On July 1, Aguilar was reported missing by her family, only for her body to be found six days later in a steakhouse parking lot, located near 75th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard. Both bodies had apparently been in the car for several days. It is important to note that the vehicle in which Aguilar was discovered did not belong to her, and police reportedly recovered a firearm from the scene.

The Maricopa County medical examiner is currently determining the precise cause of Aguilar’s death, while investigators have established that Cuellar took his own life. However, disturbing details have since emerged, pointing towards a potential motive for the crime. Aguilar’s family, as well as a private investigator, allege that Cuellar had been stalking her.

According to family members, Aguilar expressed concerns about her safety as she believed she was being relentlessly pursued by a stalker. The private investigator, Steve Fischer, revealed that Cuellar had previously worked in the same building as Aguilar until he was fired roughly a year ago. Despite losing his job, Cuellar persisted in sending threatening messages to Aguilar.

These revelations shed light on the frightening circumstances surrounding Aguilar’s disappearance and subsequent death. On the day she went missing, her car was found outside the Christown Spectrum shopping center in central Phoenix. Strikingly, the vehicle was unlocked, with most of her personal belongings still inside.

As detectives continue their investigation into this tragic incident, the community anxiously awaits further developments in the case.
