Early Friday morning, a stalker from Texas broke into a house in Redmond, WA, and killed a podcast host and her husband.
The 38-year-old trucker opened fire, killing podcast host Zohreh Sadeghi, 33, and her husband, Mohammed Naseri, 35.
The shooter was identified as Ramin Khodakaramrezaei. According to reports, Sadeghi’s mother was also inside the home but was able to flee to a neighbor’s house to call 911.
When police arrived, they found Naseri with a gunshot wound. They pulled him out front and began life saving measures, but after performing CPR, he did not survive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, Sadeghi and Khodakaramrezaei were both discovered dead inside the home; it was reported that the assailant had taken his own life.
According to officials Khodakaramrezaei had been stalking the podcaster for several months. The police were familiar with the case. Still, due to their inability to contact him in Texas, they could not serve him with a restraining order.
The exact time Sadeghi filed the no-contact restraining order and when her stalker arrived in Washington is unknown. The Redmond Police Chief Darrell Lowe stated, “This is an incredibly sad situation and the worst possible outcome of a stalking case. We will continue investigating what led to this tragic loss.”
