MONTEREY PARK, Calif. – The desperate search continues for a 15-year-old girl who went missing while riding her bike to a relative’s house in Monterey Park. Allison Jillian Chao was last seen on surveillance footage riding her blue GT mountain bike on July 16, but she never reached her aunt’s house less than four miles away.

Allison’s mother, Annie Chao, expressed her increasing fears for her daughter’s safety, stating, “The more time that goes on, the scarier it gets…I’m afraid the public will lose interest, and it will be harder to find her. There’s less evidence.”

According to Annie Chao, Allison is a straight-A student entering her junior year at Mark Keppel High School and has no history of running away. There has been no contact with friends, and no activity on social media has been reported.

Family and friends have been tirelessly searching the surrounding area, putting up missing posters in the hopes that someone will come forward with information about Allison’s whereabouts. Annie Chao mentioned, “I haven’t slept in days, and it’s just every parent’s worst nightmare.”

Allison is described as an Asian girl, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 96 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple T-shirt, black shorts, dark shoes, and carrying a black backpack.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Monterey Park Police at 626-573-1311.
