RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — A former NFL cornerback and three-time Super Bowl winner is facing charges after allegedly crashing into multiple vehicles in a parking garage and fleeing the scene.
The incident occurred on Sunday at the Marina Grande parking garage in Riviera Beach, Florida. According to the Riviera Beach Police Department, Timothy B. McKyer, 60, struck a total of five parked vehicles before leaving the scene.
McKyer, who played in the NFL from 1986 to 1997, was taken into custody and has been charged with five counts of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage exceeding $50. Additionally, he received a criminal citation for leaving the scene and a traffic infraction for failure to report.
The owners of the damaged vehicles are currently being identified by investigators. McKyer, known for his successful NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos during which he won three Super Bowl championships. McKyer was later released from jail on his own recognizance.
