Three Women Found Dead in Ohio Home

In a shocking incident in Ohio, three women were found deceased in a residence over the weekend, prompting local law enforcement to launch a homicide investigation. The grim discovery was made by officers responding to a 911 call on Saturday afternoon in a house in Columbus.

The 911 caller had reported that their friends were suffering from some form of medical distress, according to Columbus Police Sgt. James Fuqua. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the three women, and a crime scene was immediately established for further examination. Medical personnel pronounced the women dead at the scene around 4 p.m.

Initially, a public safety dispatcher reported that the emergency call was related to a shooting incident. However, officers later clarified that they were still investigating other potential causes of death for the victims.

Sgt. Fuqua expressed his condolences, noting the particular difficulty of such a tragedy during the holiday season. He said, “It’s always unfortunate when someone loses their life, but particularly at this time of the year. It’s going to be very difficult for these victims’ families to come to terms with the fact that these family members will no longer be in their lives.”

The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Columbus Police Homicide Unit or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers. Sgt. Fuqua was not immediately available for further comments on Sunday.

This incident comes less than a week after another violent event in Ohio’s capital. A 45-year-old man was found in the yard of a local home with a gunshot wound last Tuesday. He was rushed to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries the following day.
