Three individuals were taken into custody in Ohio last week following a brutal pit bull attack on a six-year-old boy. The child, who was reportedly restrained at the time of the attack, sustained severe injuries, including bites to his neck and ear. The incident took place on August 17, around 5 p.m., and the boy was airlifted to a hospital in serious condition, as reported by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon investigation, the sheriff’s office found that the boy was bound when the dog attacked him. A search warrant was executed at the Savannah residence where the incident occurred, leading to the arrest of the boy’s mother, Angelina Williams, and Robert Michalski Jr., believed to be the boy’s great uncle, on August 19.
The boy’s grandmother, who was present during the incident, expressed her shock and horror at seeing her grandson restrained. She attempted to intervene and was slightly injured in the process.
Williams, a resident of Cleveland, was living in the house with a relative of Michalski, who owned both the house and the dog. The third individual arrested was Taylor Desiree Marvin-Brown, Williams’ boyfriend, who is alleged to have assisted in restraining the boy.
Following the incident, Michalski and his dog reportedly left the scene but returned later. The dog was seized by law enforcement. Michalski was found hiding in an upstairs cubby hole in the house with the dog before he was taken into custody.
Williams is facing charges of endangering children, while Michalski is charged with endangering children and tampering with evidence. Marvin-Brown is reportedly facing charges of endangering children and obstruction of justice.
