Two individuals have been taken into custody in relation to a fatal shooting that took place inside a Foot Locker store at The Shops at Iverson. The incident, which occurred on Thursday afternoon, led to the death of 24-year-old Dominique Hodge, a resident of Washington, D.C.

The suspects in custody have been identified as 19-year-old Andres Rodriguez-Corona from Waldorf, Maryland, and 22-year-old Carl Sanders from Washington, D.C. Both are facing charges in connection with Hodge’s murder. However, a third suspect involved in the crime is still at large, and law enforcement officials are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying and locating this individual.

The crime scene was located on Branch Avenue, where officers discovered Hodge suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the presence of other customers and employees in the store, no other injuries were reported. Hodge was declared dead at the scene.

Following the incident, officers spotted three individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions approximately half a mile from the crime scene. Upon being approached by the officers, the group attempted to flee. Rodriguez-Corona was apprehended, and a handgun was confiscated from him.

Later that evening, Sanders was taken into custody during a traffic stop near 28th Avenue and St. Barnabas Road in Temple Hills. During the stop, officers found two untraceable firearms, commonly referred to as “ghost guns,” inside the vehicle.

Investigators are working on the theory that Hodge was intentionally targeted by his attackers, although the specific motive behind the attack remains unknown. Rodriguez-Corona is facing charges of murder and other related offenses, while Sanders has been charged with multiple firearms violations. Both suspects are currently being held in police custody.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the third suspect to come forward. They hope that with the public’s help, they can quickly close the case and deliver justice.
