Wild Police Chase After Woman Reports Being Held Captive

A high-speed chase in White Settlement, Texas, ended with the arrest of a man suspected of holding a woman captive for several days. The incident, which was caught on camera, has left the local community in a state of shock and relief.

The ordeal began when a distressed woman managed to call 911 from a Walmart in Westward Village just before 10 a.m. on a recent day. She informed the dispatcher that she had escaped from a man who had held her captive for at least four days.

Officers from White Settlement, along with a local village officer, quickly located the suspect’s van. The ensuing chase, captured on dashcam, led officers south on Highway 183. The pursuit, which covered approximately two miles, ended when the suspect collided with two other vehicles.

Inside the van were a woman and children who, fortunately, were not seriously injured. A pickup truck also involved in the accident had a driver who was unharmed. The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Reginald Jamison, attempted to flee on foot but was captured by police using a Taser.

Jamison is now facing multiple felony charges, including kidnapping and strangulation, and is currently held in Tarrant County Jail. Authorities revealed that Jamison has connections to Wisconsin and a prior criminal record, which complicates the investigation.

Interestingly, Jamison was already wanted in connection with a 2022 case in Wisconsin, which involved a police-involved shooting under similar circumstances. This revelation has prompted further scrutiny of his past actions and potential threats.

The police expressed their appreciation for the swift response and the positive outcome, emphasizing the importance of vigilance in such situations. The community is relieved that the woman is safe and that the suspect is in custody, highlighting the effectiveness of coordinated police efforts.

As more details emerge, residents are reminded of the importance of community awareness and cooperation with law enforcement to prevent such incidents in the future.
