THOMASTON, Georgia – A man in Georgia has been arrested for the alleged murder of his girlfriend after her body was found hidden in a suitcase inside their home. Freddrick Durham was taken into custody on Saturday and is facing charges including felony murder, concealing a death, tampering with evidence, and theft of a motor vehicle. The victim, identified as Margret Dubignon, had been reported missing by her family.

According to the Thomaston Georgia Police Department, officers responded to a call about a possible missing person at a residence on W. County Rd. When they arrived, family members informed them that they had not seen or heard from Dubignon since Thursday. They also reported that Durham, who lived with Dubignon, was missing along with her vehicle.

During the investigation, Dubignon’s family called the police again, stating that they had discovered what they believed to be her body inside the residence. The body was found concealed in a large suitcase in a closet. The Upson County Coroner confirmed the identity of the deceased as Dubignon.

Authorities have not released details about how Durham allegedly killed Dubignon. However, they named him as a suspect in her murder and issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) for Dubignon’s vehicle. With the help of other law enforcement agencies, the car was located in Atlanta, and Durham was apprehended with the assistance of the Atlanta Police Department.

Durham is currently being held without bond in the Upson County Jail. The police expressed gratitude to Dubignon’s family for their cooperation and assistance in identifying the victim and apprehending the suspect.
