An expectant mother in Ohio was tragically killed just hours before she was due to give birth, with the father of her unborn child and two of his associates implicated in the crime, according to local law enforcement. The victim, 26-year-old India Kinamore, was allegedly asked by Kayvon Warren, 30, to terminate her pregnancy before he conspired with Robert Ervin, 20, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, to murder her on March 4, 2023, in Hamilton County.
Court proceedings on Friday revealed that the three men were allegedly in a group chat, where they planned the murder of Kinamore and her unborn child. The information was reported by The Cincinnati Enquirer, which also stated that the crime was committed before Kinamore was scheduled to give birth later that day. The arrests of the three men were announced by the Colerain Township Police Department in a press release on Thursday.
On the day of the murder, officers were called to 2369 Hiddenmeadows Drive around 4:40 a.m. where they found Kinamore with a fatal gunshot wound. A heartbreaking detail emerged when it was revealed that her 6-year-old son discovered his mother’s body and alerted his grandmother, telling her, “My mommy has been shot.”
Warren, Ervin, and Suggs have all been charged with two counts of murder, as per court records. Warren and Ervin are currently being held on $600,000 bonds set during their Friday arraignment. Suggs, however, is already incarcerated in an Ohio prison on unrelated charges and has yet to appear in court for the Kinamore case.
Kinamore’s mother, Terri, expressed her grief and frustration in an interview with the Enquirer after Warren and Ervin were granted bond. She lamented the loss of her daughter, stating that she didn’t believe the situation was fair.
Ervin’s attorney, Robert Jones, argued in court that his client had no connection to the case or the deceased. However, prosecutors countered this claim, stating that digital evidence indicated that the three men had allegedly planned and executed the shooting together.
As of the weekend, Warren and Ervin remained in custody. If they manage to post bond, they will be required to wear ankle monitors.
