A doctor working for the NHS, the United Kingdom’s public health service, may lose her medical license after making social media posts supporting the Hamas terror group and claiming that Britain and other Western countries are “controlled” by a Jewish cabal.

Dr. Rahmeh Aladwan is currently under investigation by the Interim Orders Tribunal (IOT), which has the authority to revoke her license to practice medicine. She acknowledged the proceedings on social media.

“The ‘Israel lobby’ is trying to suspend me and revoke my medical license, bypassing the normal investigative process by claiming it is ‘in the public interest,’” Aladwan wrote on her X account.

Aladwan insisted she is the victim of a Zionist conspiracy, claiming she is being punished for speaking out “against its genocidal entity [Israel] and Jewish supremacy.”

Notably, she did not acknowledge participating in violent protests organized by the Palestine Action group — which has been declared a terrorist organization by the British government — nor did she mention posting pro-Hamas statements online.

According to Aladwan, the attempts to strip her of her license are “not the result of any professional failure, but the outcome of a coordinated lobbying campaign against me because of my public stance against the genocide in Gaza being carried out with my tax pounds.”

Last week, Aladwan defended the October 7th Hamas massacres in a post, describing the murder, rape, and mutilation of Israeli civilians as an “act of resistance.”

She added, “The Jewish occupation and squatters have inflicted oppression and terror on our people for decades. Palestinians have every right to defend themselves; that was just one day of Palestinians doing so out of many.”

In August, Aladwan wrote that she refuses to “condemn Hamas. I don’t condemn October 7. I don’t condemn armed resistance to Occupation. I condemn ‘Israel.’”

The Jewish Leadership Council (JLC) has called for disciplinary measures to be taken against Aladwan, saying her rhetoric undermines trust between Jewish patients and doctors.

“It is vital that Jewish patients are able to trust that their doctor will treat them without prejudice. Dr. Aladwan’s vile record of antisemitism…destroys that trust,” the JLC stated, adding that authorities “must take urgent action.”
